The traditional Chinese folk festival, Dragon Boat Festival, falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. The Dragon Boat Festival is also called the Duan yang Festival. It commemorates the ancient poet Qu Yuan, who drowned himself in the Miluo River due to his despair over the corrupt government of his time. To prevent fish from eating his body, people threw rice wrapped in leaves into the river, which later evolved into the custom of eating zongzi (rice dumplings). The festival is also marked by dragon boat races, a thrilling competition that symbolizes the people's effort to save Qu Yuan.
Now It is a very popular and grand festival for the Chinese people, also one of the important public holidays.
On this day, families gather to enjoy making and eating zongzi, which are rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves. The practice symbolizes harmony and unity. Additionally, dragon boat races are a thrilling attraction, where teams of rowers compete in long, decorated boats. These races not only entertain but also commemorate the ancient poet Qu Yuan. Other customs include wearing sachets filled with herbs to ward off evil spirits and hanging up calamus and mugwort to purify the air.

Also we held a celebration activity - throwing pots, which is also a traditional entertainment activity. All the people who threw pots have "sweet" rewards.
